We at Undershepherd believe that technology should serve the church and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to equip pastors and ministry leaders with tools that enhance their ability to shepherd God’s people faithfully. Our work is guided by these core convictions:
Our Beliefs
Scripture: We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority for all Christian faith and life.
God: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created all things for His glory and is perfect in holiness, love, and wisdom.
Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead.
Salvation: We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
The Church: We believe the church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers, called to worship God, make disciples, and serve as Christ’s ambassadors in the world.
Pastoral Ministry: We believe pastoral ministry is a sacred calling to shepherd God’s people through care, and leadership, following the example of Christ, the Chief Shepherd.
Our Commitment to Pastors
Undershepherd is committed to supporting pastors and ministry leaders who proclaim the gospel and faithfully shepherd the flock of God. We recognize that:
- Pastoral care is a biblical mandate, not merely a professional function.
- Every congregation member matters and deserves attentive spiritual care.
- Technology should remove administrative burdens, not create them.
- Pastoral work is ultimately about advancing Christ’s kingdom, not building human institutions.
While we serve churches across various traditions, we remain committed to the essentials of historic, Orthodox Christian faith that have united believers throughout the centuries. We seek to support faithful ministry in all gospel-preaching churches regardless of denominational affiliation, believing that our unity in Christ transcends secondary theological distinctions.
Our approach to technology
We believe in simple, easy-to-use technology with privacy at the heart. This means software that is practical, helpful and doesn’t overwhelm the user. Our commitment to privacy is essential when building software that pastors can trust. We use industry best practices for all privacy-related actions, to ensure your data and the data of your church members is kept safe.
Our tools are designed to enhance ministry, not replace the personal touch of pastoral care, enabling shepherds to more effectively “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12).
