Planning Center started in 2006 when Jeff Berg and Aaron Stewart set out to create a better way for churches to plan their worship services. What began as a tool for organizing volunteers and service elements quickly grew into a full church management system. Today Planning Center offers a range of features from tracking donations and managing small groups to handling event registrations and child check-ins. It helps churches of all sizes stay organized and connected with their communities and manage their services. With its cloud-based approach and integrations with other ministry tools, Planning Center has become a go-to solution for churches looking to simplify their administration.
That said, Planning Center does not offer a way to be very granular and methodical about tracking member care. There is a Planning Center Notes feature, but it doesn’t quite get to the heart of pastoral care and can be limiting in various respects. Undershepherd hopes to come alongside Planning Center and provide even more functionality to give churches the functionality and flexibility they desire to carry out their care and better help their congregation.
All that said, we are excited to announce that we now have an integration with Planning Center! This integration allows automatic syncing between your Planning Center people data and Undershepherd!
Import Data from Planning Center
You can import your data from Planning Center into Undershepherd with one button click! Go to “Account” >> “Data Import & Integrations” >> “Connect to Planning Center”:

Syncing Data from Planning Center
After your data is imported into Undershepherd, any edit that is made within Planning Center will automatically be updated within your Undershepherd account! This allows you to edit your data in one central place (Planning Center) while having the power of tracking care through Undershepherd.

- Membership Type
- Email Addresses
- Phone Numbers
- Physical Addresses
- Gender (“male” or “female” only)
- Birthdate
- Marital Status
- Social Links
- Household Information
- Child? (“child” or “adult”)
- Profile Status (“active” or “inactive”)
